Meet Our Team Pastor Newton Fairweather

Grounded in the foundational belief of empowering individuals through their lives in the Word of God, Pastor Newton Fairweather is a beacon of spiritual guidance and relentless dedication. With a personal commitment derived from Matthew 22:36-39, he centers his ministry around the 2 Greatest Commandments, highlighting the importance of loving God and our neighbors as we do ourselves.

Pastor Fairweather has committed his life to the church and its community for over two decades. After serving as a college chaplain at a local HBCU in Miami, Florida, he began his current journey as a lead pastor at North Dade Community Church in 2005. Later served as an Assistant Pastor at Christ Community Church and is leading with passion and vigor at Faith and Joy Church in Miami, Florida. His calling isn't limited to pastoral roles; he extends his service to the healthcare sector as the Chaplain of Bright Star Health Care and the Board Chaplain of Christian Businessmen Connection (CBMC).

Pastor Fairweather's passion doesn't stop at his ministerial duties. With a heart for community outreach, he dedicates his time to mentoring at-risk youth and local college freshman students.

His academic prowess shines through. His impressive educational background encompasses a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from the University of Houston, an M-DIV from Morehouse School of Religion, and specialized training from Western Theological Seminary in Church Renewal and Transformation. Pastor Fairweather just published his first book, Decade Of The Doers.

The family remains a cornerstone of his life, evident in the Fairweather family motto: "Come into agreement, and your prayers will be answered." (Matthew 18:19). It's a testament to his belief in unity, faith, and the transformative power of collective prayer. He and his wife, Vicky, offer real-time testimony to young couples facing challenges in their marriage and those who are engaged. Doing life together is a “Journey, not a Destination.”
